Measure before you mix

Epoxy Resin Calculator

Calculate how much epoxy resin your project needs, with a practical allowance for waste.

How it works

Choose your project shape and enter its dimensions. The calculator finds the space to fill, then adds your selected waste allowance. Results are shown in US gallons, liters and US fluid ounces.

Final epoxy = calculated volume × (1 + waste %)

For a surface coat, use the coating thickness recommended for your product. For a deep pour, check the product's maximum pour depth before mixing.

Common questions

How much epoxy do I need?

Measure the area or mold cavity, calculate its volume, then add a waste allowance. The calculator above does those steps for you.

How do I calculate epoxy volume?

For a rectangle, multiply length × width × depth. For a cylinder, multiply π × radius² × depth. Keep the dimensions in one unit before converting the volume.

Should I add extra epoxy for waste?

Yes. A 10% allowance is a useful starting estimate for mixing residue, spillage and uneven surfaces. Adjust it for your process.

How do epoxy mixing ratios work?

A 2:1 ratio by volume means two equal parts resin A for every one part hardener B. Check your manufacturer's specified ratio and whether it is by volume or weight.
